Part of CL 26 annual fundraising is the family day function at De Beers Supply Chain which is co-ordinated by BCH Peter Virgin.  

With the help of SCLR Vic Barra we were approached last year to cater for their family day function. The day was  a great success and we were asked to cater again this year.

BB and wives arrive at 09.30 and start preparing the salads. At 11h00 the fires are lit and food is served at 13h00.

Menu consists of chicken and steak rolls, slap chips, salads and ice cream for dessert.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Apart from having to prepare and cook the food we also get a chance to socialise with the staff and theirfamilies and all in all it is always a good day. Between main course and dessert, De Beers staff and families partake in games and there is a jumping castle, water slide and pool table to keep the kids happy. Unfortunately this year the weather was not that great but nevertheless it didn’t dampen the spirits of those who attended. Thanks to the BB and wives who help make this a success. We look forward to hopefully being involved again next year.
