Catholic Order of the Knights of da Gama| Hosted by Pier29

Currently the monthly print run at Printers in Johannesburg is 1350 copies. Of this total, approximately 110 are "complimentary" copies which are sent to:

· All the members of the Hierarchy in Southern Africa;

· Various public bodies such as the Universities;

· Copyright offices;

· National libraries;

· National Catholic publications such as "Trefoil" & “Southern Cross”;

· Our overseas "sister" organisations in the International Alliance of Catholic Knights.

The bulk of the copies naturally go to our membership. Each an every Brother Knight receives a copy of the The Link which is distributed by surface mail

The Link  is not available to the general public and is not available or sold by the newsagents.  It is an "in-house" publication , but it is not a secretive, furtive magazine.

The LINK is now also published in portable document format (.pdf) The three latest editions are available to be downloaded from the links below. If you do not have a .pdf reader click on the ‘Adobe Reader’ button to down load a copy.

Electronic Editions of The LINK.

The Link

The Link is a monthly publication produced for and by the Order It is an official organ of The Knights of da Gama and right from the start it was planned to be a part of the Order. The publication, as such, was only born in 1953. In the beginning the printing and production was done by the Link Committee and it was sold for only 6d a copy. After some years its production was handed over to professional printers.

The aim of The Link is to keep all its members in contact with each other whether they have left the country, retired or just moved to a remote area.

Each month a report on interesting news and events is submitted from each council. There is usually an interesting editorial and a number of additional articles, submitted by member knights, are also published.
